Startup Company focusing on creating children's kits that focus on communication and soft skills. Hired for contracted work to redesign and rebrand their product based on their values and audience.
My Role: Visual & Product Designer | Tools: Adobe InDesign, Figman, Procreate | Timeline: 3 Weeks
The objective was to redesign their prototype MVP, the Uniqueverse Kit. I analyzed the current kit, identified major problems, and executed a revised kit design that incorporates the executives' feedback.
This startup company and their products are aimed towards families and children to utilize activities and storytelling to build up soft skills and foster intentional communication. This is the design of what the kit will look like. The branding and illustration will be described in my thought process below.

I first started off by researching the name "MILLU" and its definition to get a better sense of how to redesign based on who the company is. I worked on understanding what market this will hit to present what feeling the consumer would feel while interacting with it. Here are my research notes about the product itself and how it ties with the target audience.

Through my research, I created a logo, which was created based on who MILLU is. The description in the slide further explains how I broke down the reasoning for my design intentions. Since the target is for children and families, I created the color palette to reflect a sense of playfulness and fun, inspired by colors in a park playground.

I illustrated this character, who is a blend of a non-human with humanistic characteristics. This was inspired by looking at children's TV shows and movies, which have an array of main characters. By evolving this combination, it presents an imaginative yet personal feeling to the character of the kit. The motifs created were also created within mind of having a child-like wonder and nostalgia to them.
